I work closely with a wide range of private practice firms, from high street and boutique practices through to leading regional, national and international firms with a strong presence across the South West. I work with lawyers at all levels, from NQ through to Equity Partner, and take a very relationship led approach to recruitment. For me, it’s about getting to know people properly, understanding what they’re looking for, what motivates them and where they want their career to go, rather than simply matching a CV to a job. Outside of work, I play semi professional football as a goalkeeper in the Women’s National League, which is something I’m hugely passionate about. Football has taught me a lot about resilience, teamwork and keeping a level head under pressure, qualities that definitely come into play in recruitment too. She comes from a family business background and oversees the general running of the office, helping to maintain the positive and dynamic ethos of the firm. She has a very supportive and cohesive effect on the whole team and is very much the ‘go-to person’ for any social matters. Jane joined together with Charlotte and Chris in 2009 to found Austen Lloyd, which is now a market leading agency with a phenomenal national reputation, specialising in legal recruitment throughout the UK. With her family business background, she has helped to transfer that ‘family team ethos’ to Austen Lloyd. Jane has helped to create the smooth-running office administration system that is so necessary for a highly modern, professional organisation. When dealing with candidates’ livelihoods, it is essential to maintain highly professionally standards at all times. Jane is very much at the forefront of this.
