About the Role:
Our client, a leading law firm specialising in Personal and Medical Injury claims, is seeking a motivated and ambitious Newly Qualified (NQ) Solicitor to join their highly regarded Personal and Medical Injury team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners ranked team, gaining invaluable experience in personal injury and clinical negligence law.
You will manage a mix of high-value and complex claimant-only cases while benefiting from ongoing training and support. This role offers the chance to work alongside industry leaders, expand your legal knowledge, and develop your career in a collaborative and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of personal injury and clinical negligence claims, including smaller cases independently and high-value, complex cases with senior oversight.
- Provide legal advice to clients who have experienced harm due to medical malpractice or other personal injuries.
- Assist in inquest work and Human Rights Act claims as part of your caseload.
- Draft and negotiate legal documents, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
- Support partners and senior fee earners on significant cases, gaining exposure to complex legal matters.
- Contribute to marketing initiatives to enhance the team’s profile.
- Mentor junior team members, supporting their growth and development.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Newly Qualified Solicitor with a valid practising certificate (or due to qualify soon).
- Demonstrable experience in personal injury or clinical negligence law.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, capable of handling a varied and demanding caseload.
- A client-focused approach, with the ability to empathise and deliver outstanding service.
- Collaborative team player who can also demonstrate initiative and independence when required.
- Flexibility to travel within the South-East region to visit clients in their homes or hospitals.
