Volume Contracts Senior Associate

About the Role

This is an exciting time to join a growing legal services organisation that has experienced a period of positive change and sustained growth across its Litigation and Dispute Management teams. As a result, an opportunity has arisen for a Senior Associate to join the Contract Disputes team, which sits within the wider Volume Litigation department.

As a Senior Associate, you will manage your own caseload from start to finish in a commercial and pragmatic manner. This will involve resolving matters through the courts and litigation process, as well as through mediation and other alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods where appropriate. You will also be responsible for carrying out early assessments of the prospects of success for each claim and ensuring that matters are handled in accordance with relevant legal expenses insurance policy requirements.

The role also involves supporting a culture of efficient and effective case management, taking ownership of client issues through to resolution, and working to meet service level agreements (SLAs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and financial targets. You will also contribute to knowledge sharing and best practice within the wider team.

This role operates on a hybrid working model, with a minimum of two days per week in the office. The position is ideally full-time, although part-time arrangements may also be considered.

About You

Applications are welcomed from highly motivated legal professionals with experience in contract disputes and a strong commitment to achieving positive client outcomes.

Key requirements include:

  • Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Practitioner

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines, KPIs, and SLAs

  • Proactive approach to managing a caseload to a high professional standard

  • Clear understanding of professional regulatory obligations and codes of conduct

  • Strong collaboration and client care skills

  • Effective negotiation and analytical problem-solving abilities

Due to the nature of the matters handled, some cases can be sensitive or complex. Candidates should therefore demonstrate resilience and the ability to perform effectively within a busy and fast-paced environment.

Additional Information

The organisation promotes a supportive and collaborative working environment where individuals are encouraged to take ownership of their work and contribute ideas. Flexible working arrangements are supported to help employees achieve a positive work-life balance.

Employees benefit from a competitive remuneration package and a range of benefits, which may include:

  • Generous annual leave allowance with options to purchase additional leave

  • Private medical insurance
