Senior Private Client Lawyer – 5+ PQE

We are seeking an experienced Private Client Lawyer to join a thriving, dynamic legal 500 firm in Liverpool. This role presents a fantastic opportunity to contribute to an established, busy practice while furthering your career in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Case Management: Manage a varied caseload of private client matters, including wills, trusts, probate, estate planning, and Court of Protection cases.
• Client Interaction: Liaise professionally with clients, providing expert advice and assistance in person and remotely as required.
• Team Leadership: Supervise team members handling Court of Protection matters and support their professional development.
• Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with external agencies such as the Courts, HMRC, HMLR, Probate Registry, and experts.
• Document Drafting: Accurately prepare and review legal documents, including Court of Protection applications and estate administration paperwork.
• Business Development: Contribute to the growth of the private client department by fostering new business opportunities and strengthening existing relationships.
• Marketing Contribution: Collaborate with the marketing team to create blog content and engage in other promotional activities.

Candidate Profile:

We are seeking a motivated individual who combines technical expertise with a proactive attitude. The ideal candidate will:

• Have 5+ years PQE in private client law, with significant experience in Court of Protection, wills, trusts, probate, estate/tax planning, and services for elderly clients.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, confidence in client interactions, and excellent decision-making abilities.
• (Desirable) Have property law experience and access to a car for travel.
