A highly regarded Legal 500 firm in West Yorkshire is seeking an experienced Senior Costs Lawyer / Costs Draftsperson to join its established and growing costs team. The Role
From a recruitment perspective, this role offers the opportunity to work across a wide range of contentious and non-contentious costs matters, including:

• Drafting detailed bills of costs across a variety of practice areas including personal injury, clinical negligence, and commercial litigation
• Preparing costs budgets, statements of costs, and points of dispute and reply
• Advising fee earners and clients on costs strategy and recovery
• Attending and supporting negotiations and costs hearings where required
• Managing matters from initial instruction through to assessment or settlement
• Ensuring compliance with relevant procedural rules and costs management processes
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the costs team

About You

• Qualified Costs Lawyer or experienced Costs Draftsperson
• Strong experience drafting bills of costs and dealing with costs disputes
• Excellent technical knowledge of CPR and costs procedures
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Confident communicator with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
