Job Title: Property Litigation Solicitor (4+ Years PQE)
Location: Essex
About the Role:
Our client, a well-established law firm, is seeking a skilled Property Litigation Solicitor with at least 4 years PQE to join their busy litigation department. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced solicitor to work on a broad range of property litigation matters, including both residential and commercial disputes. The successful candidate will be expected to manage their own caseload while also benefiting from the support of a wider, highly regarded team.
In this role, you will be handling a variety of contentious property issues, including lease disputes, landlord and tenant matters, property-related contracts, and commercial property litigation. You will work closely with clients to provide practical, solution-driven legal advice, and will be expected to work independently with the support of a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse caseload of residential and commercial property litigation matters, including leasehold disputes, eviction proceedings, and rent arrears claims.
- Advise clients on a wide range of property-related disputes, including issues surrounding tenancy agreements, property contracts, and boundary disputes.
- Draft and review legal documents, such as pleadings, court applications, and settlement agreements.
- Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and negotiations.
- Provide clear and practical legal advice to clients, helping them to understand their rights and options.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as their trusted advisor in property litigation matters.
- Work independently to manage caseloads while collaborating with team members to support more complex cases.
- Stay updated on relevant changes in property law and litigation practices.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Qualified Solicitor with at least 4 years PQE in property litigation.
- Strong experience in both residential and commercial property disputes.
- Proven ability to manage a busy caseload and work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients clearly.
- Demonstrable experience representing clients in litigation, including court appearances.
- Strong drafting skills with attention to detail.
- Client-focused approach, with a passion for delivering excellent legal service.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
