Job Title: Private Client Solicitor (4+ Years PQE)

About the Role:
Our client, a well-established and respected law firm in Billericay, is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor with at least 4 years PQE to join their busy and dynamic Private Client Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced solicitor to manage a varied and rewarding caseload, working with clients to deliver exceptional legal services in the areas of wills, probate, estate planning, LPAs, and trusts.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of a friendly and professional team, ensuring high standards of client care are maintained while offering a full range of services to clients with private client needs. You will be entrusted with handling complex matters, managing relationships with clients, and mentoring junior team members where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a varied caseload of private client matters, including wills, probate, estate planning, lasting powers of attorney (LPAs), and trusts.
• Provide high-quality legal advice to clients, ensuring clear communication of complex legal concepts.
• Draft, review, and amend legal documents such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
• Assist clients with probate applications, estate administration, and inheritance tax matters.
• Advise clients on estate planning, tax efficiency, and wealth protection strategies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering excellent service at all stages of the process.
• Work closely with colleagues and other professionals (such as accountants and financial advisors) to provide comprehensive solutions to clients’ needs.
• Manage your own caseload efficiently, ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met.
• Mentor and support junior members of the team as required.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Qualified Solicitor with at least 4 years PQE in Private Client law.
• Extensive experience managing wills, probate, estate planning, LPAs, and trusts matters.
• Strong technical knowledge of private client law, including tax and estate planning.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly to clients.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to manage a busy caseload.
• Client-focused approach, with the ability to build strong relationships and provide tailored legal solutions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ideally, experience in mentoring and developing junior team members.
