About the Role:

Join a prestigious Legal 500 firm based in Essex as a Family Solicitor, focusing on providing expert legal services in family law matters. This role offers the opportunity to work with a highly regarded team, handling a diverse caseload and contributing to the continued success of the firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a varied caseload of family law matters, including divorce, financial settlements, child custody, and domestic abuse cases.
  • Provide strategic legal advice and representation to clients, ensuring their interests are effectively advocated for.
  • Conduct negotiations and mediations on behalf of clients to achieve favourable outcomes.
  • Prepare and review legal documents, including court applications, agreements, and correspondence.
  • Attend court hearings and represent clients in family proceedings when necessary.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to deliver high-quality legal services and maintain client satisfaction.

Criteria:

  • Qualified Solicitor with approximately 2 years or more post-qualification experience (PQE) in family law.
  • Demonstrated experience handling a range of family law matters independently.
  • Strong advocacy and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of achieving successful outcomes for clients.
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant family law legislation and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds and provide empathetic support.
  • Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage a busy caseload efficiently.
  • A team player with a proactive approach to work and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
