Family Solicitor / Chartered Legal Executive (4+ PQE)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Family Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (4+ years’ PQE) to join a well-regarded and growing Family Department within an established regional law firm.
This role offers the chance to work closely with senior leadership in a supportive team environment, with dedicated administrative support and exposure to a high-quality, privately funded caseload. The firm is known for its strong client care, collaborative culture, and commitment to professional development.
The Role
The successful candidate will manage a varied and often complex private family law caseload, including:

Divorce and financial remedy matters

Private law Children Act disputes
-
Pre- and post-nuptial agreements
-
Cohabitation and TOLATA disputes
-
Injunctive relief
-
Advocacy and court attendance as required
You will take responsibility for matters from initial instruction through to completion, maintain compliance with internal procedures, manage time recording and billing, and contribute to business development and networking activities.
The Ideal Candidate

Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (with litigation and advocacy rights)

Minimum of 4 years’ PQE within a private family law department

Strong technical knowledge of divorce, financial remedies, and private children matters
-
Experience managing a full private caseload independently

Accreditation with Resolution and/or membership of the Law Society Family Law Panel advantageous

Some exposure to legal aid work beneficial

Familiarity with Lexcel requirements

Confident, personable, and client-focused

Proactive, organised, and able to work on own initiative

Full driving licence and access to own vehicle
