The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate to join a growing Employment team within a well-established and forward-thinking legal organisation. This role offers the flexibility of fully remote or hybrid working, alongside the chance to be part of a collaborative and supportive team environment.
The Employment team is made up of over 40 fee earners, ranging from paralegals through to senior lawyers. The team is known for its friendly culture, strong supervision, and clear career progression pathways, with regular opportunities for internal promotion and development.
The Role
The team advises on a wide range of contentious and advisory employment matters for both employers and employees. Work is varied and engaging, with no two cases being the same.
Typical work includes:

Advising on unfair dismissal, discrimination and whistleblowing claims

Managing cases through the employment tribunal litigation process

Providing practical HR advice to businesses

Drafting employment contracts and employee handbooks

Supporting clients with employment law compliance and best practice

Opportunities to undertake advocacy where appropriate
Lawyers are encouraged to take on early responsibility, allowing you to develop strong litigation, negotiation, and settlement skills while building your expertise in employment law.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:

Experience in employment law litigation

The ability to manage their own caseload

Strong client relationship and communication skills

A proactive and collaborative approach to working within a team
Candidates with transferable litigation experience will also be considered.
