Education Solicitor – Legal 500

We’re presently seeking a Solicitor or Associate with up to 3 years PQE to join our Social Care & Governance team in either Liverpool or Manchester. The ideal candidate will manage a diverse caseload involving Education Casework or Education with the support of Paralegals and Legal Admin. They should also demonstrate a collaborative spirit, assisting colleagues as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing a caseload involving 1st Tier Tribunal (Health, Education, and Social Care) Cases
• Handling Education Law Judicial Review Claims
• Providing Education Law Advice
• Assisting with Training Delivery for team members
• Representing clients in legal proceedings before courts and tribunals, including advocacy
• Attending off-site visits and meetings, such as Court Hearings and clients’ offices
• Contributing to the development of regulatory practice within the team and wider department
• Engaging in marketing and business development activities
• Ensuring adherence to relevant deadlines, quality measures, and KPIs

About You:

• Solicitor or associate with experience in Education law, whether in-house or in private practice
• Proficient in advocacy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities
• Capacity to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team
• Flexible approach to work
