Data Privacy Manager

Data Privacy Manager – Top Tier Legal 500 Firm – Manchester

Salary: Competitive + Bonus + Benefits
Type: Permanent, Full Time

Responsibilities:

* Privacy Program Management: Develop and manage privacy governance, ensuring compliance with GDPR and other regulations. Report to the Data Protection Officer (DPO) and conduct privacy audits.
* Compliance & Monitoring: Implement controls for compliance with global data privacy laws, conduct DPIAs, and stay updated on legal changes.
* Incident Management: Advise on responses to data breaches and maintain incident response plans.
* Training & Awareness: Develop training programs on privacy policies and raise staff awareness.
* Data Subject Requests: Oversee requests related to data access, rectification, erasure, and portability.
* Vendor & Third-Party Management: Ensure third-party compliance with privacy standards and conduct due diligence.
* Advisory Role: Provide guidance on privacy issues and serve as the contact for internal and external inquiries.
* Regulatory Liaison: Submit documentation or reports as required.

Experience & Knowledge:

* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Compliance, Information Security, or related fields. Privacy certifications preferred.
* Experience: 5+ years in privacy management or compliance, with a strong understanding of GDPR and other regulations.
* Skills: Project management, communication, risk assessment, and knowledge of privacy frameworks.
