COMMERCIAL LITIGATION SOLICITOR – BIRMINGHAM
Commercial Litigation Solicitor (3-7+ PQE)
An excellent opportunity for a capable Solicitor to join a well-regarded Commercial Litigation team within a substantial firm based in central Birmingham. The successful candidate will manage a broad and stimulating caseload of commercial disputes, as well as assist Partners with complex, high-value and business-critical matters.
You will handle a diverse range of disputes including commercial contract claims, restrictive covenant issues, IT and technology-related contract disputes, sale of goods and supply of services matters, shareholder and partnership disputes, defamation and reputation management issues, warranty and indemnity claims, IP-related disputes and consumer claims. Work will span from pre-action advice through to County Court, High Court and, where necessary, Court of Appeal litigation.
This is a discreet mid to senior role within a modern, progressive firm offering genuine long-term career development. There is strong potential for progression for a candidate who is ambitious, commercially aware and keen to build long-term client relationships. The team acts for a wide range of clients, including high-net-worth individuals, SMEs, PLCs and global corporates.
Key Responsibilities

Provide clear, strategic and outcome-focused advice aligned with clients’ commercial and personal objectives.

Advise on and comply with all relevant pre-action protocols.

Draft high-quality litigation documentation and manage matters through all procedural stages.

Build rapport and maintain strong communication with clients, counsel and experts.

Manage Court and arbitration proceedings where required.

Represent clients in settlement negotiations, mediations and other alternative dispute-resolution forums.

Ensure matters are handled efficiently, diligently and with strong financial management.

Collaborate effectively within the Commercial Litigation team and wider Dispute Resolution department.

Contribute to the development of junior colleagues through supervision and knowledge-sharing.

Engage with firm wide business initiatives and projects.

Foster long-term client relationships and support business development efforts.

Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of substantive law and procedure
