Head of Commercial Litigation – Norfolk

An established and highly regarded law firm in Norfolk is looking to appoint a Head of Commercial Litigation to lead and grow its dispute resolution offering.

This is a senior opportunity for an experienced commercial litigator who is ready to step into a leadership role or who is already operating at Partner or Senior Associate level and looking for a clear route to progression.

The Role

You will take full responsibility for the commercial litigation department, managing an existing caseload while shaping the future direction of the team.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Handling a varied caseload of commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, shareholder disputes, professional negligence, debt recovery and general business disputes

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and referrers

  • Playing a key role in business development and profile raising for the department

  • Supervising and mentoring junior members of the team

  • Working closely with the wider leadership team on strategy and growth

The Candidate

The firm is open on level and will consider strong Senior Associates through to established Partners.

You will ideally have:

  • A strong background in commercial litigation

  • Experience managing your own caseload with minimal supervision

  • Leadership or supervisory experience, or a clear ambition to move into this type of role
