reputable law firm is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual with a minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical negligence law to join our team. As a Clinical Negligence Solicitor, you will have the opportunity to work on complex cases, advocating for clients who have suffered injury or harm due to medical negligence.
Responsibilities:

Manage a diverse caseload of clinical negligence claims, including those involving medical malpractice, surgical errors, misdiagnosis, and birth injuries.

Conduct thorough investigations into clients’ claims, gathering evidence, obtaining medical records, and consulting with expert witnesses as necessary.

Provide expert legal advice and guidance to clients, explaining their rights, options, and the legal process involved in pursuing a clinical negligence claim.

Prepare and draft legal documents, including letters of claim, court pleadings, witness statements, and settlement agreements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.

Negotiate settlements with defendants and their insurers, striving to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients through mediation, arbitration, or litigation in court.

Collaborate with internal teams, including paralegals, legal assistants, and other solicitors, to ensure effective case management and support for clients throughout the claims process.
Requirements:

Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years of experience practicing in clinical negligence law.

Solid understanding of relevant legislation, case law, and procedures governing clinical negligence claims in the UK.

Proven track record of handling complex clinical negligence cases from inception to resolution, with successful outcomes for clients.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess medical evidence and expert opinions critically.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with clients and build rapport while managing their expectations realistically.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced legal environment, managing multiple deadlines and priorities effectively.
