The Role
From a recruitment perspective, this role offers a varied and rewarding caseload, with responsibilities including:

• Managing a caseload of public law childcare matters, including care proceedings, supervision orders, and emergency protection applications
• Acting for parents, guardians, and children in complex and sensitive cases
• Preparing cases for court, attending hearings, and conducting advocacy where appropriate
• Working closely with local authorities, counsel, and other professionals
• Ensuring compliance with Legal Aid Agency requirements and maintaining accurate file management
• Providing a high standard of client care in often challenging circumstances

• Qualified Solicitor with experience in childcare/public law family work
• Legal Aid experience is advantageous
