Job Description: Currently seeking a motivated and experienced Charity Solicitor to join our team. As a Charity Solicitor, you will play a vital role in providing legal advice and support to charitable organizations, helping them navigate complex legal issues and achieve their missions effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive legal advice and guidance to charitable organizations on matters including governance, fundraising, regulatory compliance, and contractual issues.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents and agreements, including contracts, policies, and agreements with donors and partners.

  • Assist charitable organizations in obtaining and maintaining charitable status, as well as complying with relevant legislation and regulations.

  • Represent charitable clients in negotiations, mediations, and legal proceedings when necessary.

  • Stay informed about changes in charity law and regulations, and provide proactive advice to clients accordingly.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and a commitment to their missions.

Requirements:

  • Qualified solicitor with a valid practicing certificate in England and Wales.

  • Proven experience 3+ years practicing charity law, preferably within a reputable law firm or in-house legal department.

  • In-depth knowledge of charity law, regulations, and best practices.

  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to build rapport with clients and colleagues.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Commitment to delivering high-quality legal services with integrity and professionalism.
