PROPERTY LITIGATION SOLICITOR – 3 PQE +

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor, FCILEx (with Civil Litigation Practice Rights) or Barrister with 3+ years’ PQE to join the Housing Management & Property Litigation team at a Legal 500 Firm.

The Housing Management & Property Litigation team acts for over 100 Registered Providers, local authorities and private landlords across England and Wales, advising on all aspects of housing management and property litigation.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful and growing team specialising in an area of law that is continuously developing.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied caseload of housing litigation matters including injunctions, possession claims, disrepair claims, and non-contentious advisory work such as policy advice.

  • Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of files.

  • Support partners on larger and more complex matters.

  • Interact directly with clients, manage expectations and meet deadlines.

  • Supervise junior staff, including paralegals.

  • Efficiently manage multiple deadlines across a busy caseload.

  • Contribute to marketing and business development initiatives.

  • Prepare and deliver training to clients.


The Candidate

Applications are welcomed from Solicitors, FCILEx (with Civil Litigation Practice Rights) or Barristers with 3+ years’ post-qualification experience in housing management and property litigation.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Experience managing their own files and caseload.

  • Strong technical ability and case management skills.

  • Experience supervising junior team members.

  • Commercial awareness and a proactive approach.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively.

  • Resilience, drive and determination to achieve positive outcomes.

  • Confidence working both independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and general IT systems.

Salary is competitive and dependent on experience.
