An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Associate or Senior Associate to join a leading national law firm’s Court of Protection team, based in Birmingham. The firm is widely recognised for its client-focused approach, inclusive culture, and commitment to colleague wellbeing and development.
This role offers the chance to work alongside a highly experienced Partner within a specialist Court of Protection practice, handling complex and high-value matters while also taking on leadership responsibility within a growing team.
The Role
The successful candidate will manage a varied and often complex Court of Protection caseload, including:

Property and affairs applications

High-value and complex deputyship matters
-
Trust, statutory will and damages management work

Acting as a key contact for clients and referrers
-
Supporting Partners with business development activities
-
Coaching, mentoring and supervising junior team members
You will play a key role in delivering exceptional client service while contributing to the strategic growth of the team.
The Ideal Candidate
-
Qualified Solicitor with 2+ years’ PQE
-
Demonstrable experience within Court of Protection or a strong private client background with exposure to COP work
-
Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail
-
Confident managing complex caseloads
-
Interest in business development and building client relationships
-
Personable, collaborative and proactive
