Job Description: Currently seeking a motivated and experienced Charity Solicitor to join our team. As a Charity Solicitor, you will play a vital role in providing legal advice and support to charitable organizations, helping them navigate complex legal issues and achieve their missions effectively.
Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive legal advice and guidance to charitable organizations on matters including governance, fundraising, regulatory compliance, and contractual issues.

Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents and agreements, including contracts, policies, and agreements with donors and partners.

Assist charitable organizations in obtaining and maintaining charitable status, as well as complying with relevant legislation and regulations.

Represent charitable clients in negotiations, mediations, and legal proceedings when necessary.

Stay informed about changes in charity law and regulations, and provide proactive advice to clients accordingly.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and a commitment to their missions.
Requirements:

Qualified solicitor with a valid practicing certificate in England and Wales.

Proven experience 3+ years practicing charity law, preferably within a reputable law firm or in-house legal department.

In-depth knowledge of charity law, regulations, and best practices.

Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to build rapport with clients and colleagues.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
