reputable law firm is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual with a minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical negligence law to join our team. As a Clinical Negligence Solicitor, you will have the opportunity to work on complex cases, advocating for clients who have suffered injury or harm due to medical negligence.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of clinical negligence claims, including those involving medical malpractice, surgical errors, misdiagnosis, and birth injuries.

  • Conduct thorough investigations into clients’ claims, gathering evidence, obtaining medical records, and consulting with expert witnesses as necessary.

  • Provide expert legal advice and guidance to clients, explaining their rights, options, and the legal process involved in pursuing a clinical negligence claim.

  • Prepare and draft legal documents, including letters of claim, court pleadings, witness statements, and settlement agreements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.

  • Negotiate settlements with defendants and their insurers, striving to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients through mediation, arbitration, or litigation in court.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including paralegals, legal assistants, and other solicitors, to ensure effective case management and support for clients throughout the claims process.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years of experience practicing in clinical negligence law.

  • Solid understanding of relevant legislation, case law, and procedures governing clinical negligence claims in the UK.

  • Proven track record of handling complex clinical negligence cases from inception to resolution, with successful outcomes for clients.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess medical evidence and expert opinions critically.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with clients and build rapport while managing their expectations realistically.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced legal environment, managing multiple deadlines and priorities effectively.
