International Trade Law Associate, 2-5 PQE, London, Global Law Firm

We are partnered with a leading global law firm seeking a mid-level associate with 2-5 years’ experience in international trade law. The role involves work on export controls, sanctions, customs, free trade agreements, foreign investment, anti-dumping and/or WTO matters, and the team is recognised as one of the leading International Commerce teams in the UK and globally.

Responsibilities include developing relationships with clients and gaining a good understanding of their businesses, in order to then advise on a wide range of matters, with a focus on customs, export controls, and sanctions. Alongside exiting clientele, you will need to engage in business development activities, and work as part of a team and assist with the supervision of more junior lawyers.

You will need to be a qualified lawyer with excellent academic credentials and current experience in the International Trade department of a leading firm. Obviously, you will have first-rate technical skills with associated commerciality and demonstrable business development experience.
