Dealing with Planning and Environmental matters, the department works with landowners and developers with all aspects of planning, ultimately with a view to seeking to maximise land value, whether that is through securing planning permission (through land promotion, planning applications, appeals against refusal of planning permission, certificates of lawfulness, statutory challenges to appeal decisions and Judicial Review), or through defending against enforcement action.
