PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT LAWYER – CONSTRUCTION – CITY –

PSL -Construction (min 5 years PQE)

An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen within a nationally significant niche Commercial firm for an experienced Professional Support Lawyer to join their Construction, Engineering and Procurement Team based in the City of London.

This is senior appointment and all applications will be treated in the utmost confidence.

The role will be broad and varied, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the team is up to date with the latest developments in Construction law, to develop bespoke training for the team, and contribute to firm-wide initiatives including knowledge management and business development.

You will need in-depth knowledge of the Construction industry, to monitor and report on fast-moving developments, involving such matters as Product Defects, Building Safety and Fire Safety, in relation to the department’s practice areas. Additionally, you will be maintaining and further developing a bank of precedents and practice notes for the team and producing regular updates and briefing notes for clients on a broad range of Construction law.

You should have the ability and confidence to develop strong working relationships with high-quality clients, as well as providing support and advice to colleagues within the firm in a thoroughly collegiate atmosphere. You need to be a driven individual keen on developing more junior members of staff by providing advice and guidance on various legal matters and delivering training both within the team and externally to clients on request.
