Legal Cashier – Essex

The Role

• Processing transactions across client and office/nominal ledgers

• Making payments via online banking, including international payments

• Posting HMLR, HMCTS and search fees to client ledgers

• Completing daily bank reconciliations

• Supporting fee earners, colleagues and management with accounting queries

• Ensuring all transactions comply with the Solicitors Accounts Rules and Money Laundering Regulations

• Assisting with wider accounts duties as required

About You

• Experience in a legal cashiering or similar legal accounts role

• Understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules and Money Laundering Regulations

• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy

• Good IT skills and confidence with electronic accounting systems and client ledgers

• Organisational skills to manage competing priorities

• Proactive and reliable approach with good judgement and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
