The Role
Manage a caseload including 1993 Act collective enfranchisement and lease extensions, 1967 Act enfranchisement, and 1987 Act rights of first refusal.
Act for landlords and tenants, including public bodies and social landlords.
Provide strategic advice on lease structuring to avoid the 1987 Act.
Handle voluntary lease extensions and draft participation agreements for collective enfranchisement.
Advise on existing and new leases as part of the Residential Real Estate Team’s financing practice.
Assist with deeds of variation, licences to assign, and claims in the First Tier Tribunal.
Engage in sector marketing, write articles, and attend training and social events.
Develop relationships with enfranchisement valuers and contribute to process improvements.
Provide guidance and support to junior team members across offices.
About You
Minimum of 6 years PQE in a professional legal environment.
Experience in leasehold enfranchisement and residential real estate.
Ability to mentor junior team members and contribute to team development.
Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and case management software.
Proven ability to market within the sector and grow new relationships.
Experience in the contentious side of leasehold enfranchisement is advantageous.
