Employment Solicitor - Senior Associate – Greater Manchester

The Role

• Advise clients on both contentious and non-contentious employment and recruitment law issues.

• Support clients with daily employment matters like disciplinary actions, grievances, and restructuring.

• Draft and negotiate employment contracts, settlement agreements, and HR policies.

• Provide guidance on employment status, IR35, and self-employed contractor issues.

• Manage Employment Tribunal litigation and resolve disputes through ACAS, mediation, and negotiation.

• Handle sector regulatory investigations on behalf of clients.

• Collaborate with colleagues in litigation, corporate, and commercial sectors for integrated client projects.

About You

• Ideally at Senior Associate level, though strong candidates slightly below this level will be considered.

• Solid foundation in general employment law with commercial client interaction skills.

• Experience in recruitment/workforce solutions, such as IR35 and contractor status, is advantageous.

• Confident communicator and collaborative team player, adaptable and inquisitive.
